Denatonium Benzoate the most bitter chemical known to mankind. It non-toxic, odorless and inert, but tiny amount of it make anything too much bitter. It used to denature industrial alcohol, engine oil and antifreezes. It makes bitter to household chemicals so that they cannot be get swallowed accidentally by children.

 Denatonium benzoate is used in formulations of so many products to make them unpalatable:

  • Industrial Ethyl Alcohol

   Industrial alcohol popularly known as Specially Denatured Alcohol (SD - 40) contains 40ppm Denatonium Benzoate. 1 ppm means 1 mg per 1 liter on Solvent.

  • Aversive Agent Engine oils and antifreezes

    30 ppm Denatonium Benzoate is used for denaturing engine oils, car coolant / antifreezes, screen washes and Car Shampoos.    

  • Household Products

    Floor cleaner, toilet cleaner, fabric conditioner, household antiseptics, bathroom cleaner, heavy duty detergents, shoe cleaning products.

  • Personal Care Products

    Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Anti nail biting preparations, Nail polish remover, Perfumes / after shaves.

  • Pesticides

    Rodenticide, Slug bait, Fly bait, Ant bait, Moth balls, Cockroach bait, Herbicide

  • Animal Repellant

    Deer repellant, Ship paints to avoid bite from big fish.
